Lost and Pirates at CES

So Disney CEO Bob Iger, speaking at CES plays a clip from the so-called final episode of Lost. Sawyer asks Kate, played by Evangeline Lily, what she’s going to do when she finally gets off the island. Her response: Las Vegas. For the Consumer Electronics Show. And the men there? They are dead sexy, she says.

The video also teased viewers who have been clamouring to understand the island the characters are stranded on. Sayid, who has tied up one of the Others, the mysterious other inhabitants on the island, asks him to explain all the strange characteristics and happenings on the island. Sayid is told the answer is simple and elegant, but just as it’s about to be revealed, the clip goes to static.

In a nod to another Disney hit, Pirates of the Caribbean, Lily also said that between Jack and Sawyer, the love triangle, she was picking Jack, that is, the campy pirate played by Johnny Depp. “He has a bigger ship,” she said.

Iger then trotted out Lost stars Matthew Fox and Lily onto the stage, who said she was right: The men are dead sexy. Asked about the Others, Fox said, “We know who they are, but we can’t tell you.”
