Uplifting The Gay Community In Romania
With the change in time, not only the lifestyle of people is changing, but their relationship status as well. As some people of the Romanian community are not able to maintain sync with their opposite counterparts, they are moving towards homosexual relationships. Like other countries, Romania was orthodox as well about its gay community. But with the changing scenario, various rights and freedom has been granted to gays so as to liberate their gay community.
Earlier gays were even denied the right to donate blood and take decisions about their interested field of employment but now they are allowed to do so along with giving grants like taking part in the country’s different fields of work such as army.
Although the gay Romania community has been given some privileges in Romania, the legislation for their marriage is yet not permitted. In earlier years same-gender relationships and marriages were allowed but these legislations were banned in the year 2001.
The Gay Fest 2008 parade is a popular one in Romania and is organized for the homosexuals. Various other events are also organized these days like art exhibitions for the gays, film screenings for homosexuals and parties so as to boost the morale of the homosexuals in the country of Romania.
Miss Traevesti is a popular beauty pageant that is held for the gay community as well. For the betterment of the homosexual community, the same-gender marriage has been sanctioned in the year 2007 in Romania as soon as it became a part of the European Union.
